Dwyane Wade has yet to formally make a decision on his $23.8 million player option with the Chicago Bulls for the 17-18 season.
Wade is unlikely to command that type of salary on the open market this offseason.
“All I can tell you is most everyone associated with the Bulls believes Wade will pick up the option and remain in Chicago for a second season,” wrote K.C. Johnson. “More surprising things have happened in league history, though. So stay tuned.”
Wade has an inconsistent first season with the Bulls, as did the team as a whole.
